Im Rahmen von Movement Research ACROSS POLY(e)MOTION
Die Performance ist das Ergebnis einer Recherche zu neuen Ansätzen einer somatischen Archivierungsarbeit. Der Körper wird in den Mittelpunkt gerückt und im Kontext eines Archivs sichtbar gemacht. Die Performance testet das Potenzial von Archiven, einen Körper in Bewegung zu bringen und stellt damit konventionelle Archivierungsmethoden in Frage. Grundlage der Performance ist das Dokumentarfilmarchiv ihres verstorbenen Vaters Shabbir Siddiquie.

In the framework of Movement Research ACROSS POLY(e)MOTION
The performance is the outcome of a research that explores approaches of a somatic archival work. The body is centred and made visible within the context of the archive. The research thus questions conventional archiving methods and instead tests the potential of an archive to bring the body into movement. For the performance, the artist will be working with the documentary film archive of her deceased father Shabbir Siddiquie.
