Eine Veranstaltung zur zweiteiligen Ausstellung 22 von Sissel Tolaas kuratiert von Solvej Helweg Ovesen, Galerie Wedding, in Kooperation mit Christina Landbrecht, Schering Stiftung

Im Rahmen des Ausstellungsprogramms SoS (Soft Solidarity), konzipiert von Nataša Ilić und Solvej Helweg Ovesen in der Galerie Wedding

Isabel Lewis, Künstlerin und Choreografin, ist bekannt für ihre Erkundungen des Körpers, der Intimität und der Sinne. Nicht zuletzt ist sie dafür bekannt, dass sie die fast unbenennbaren Aspekte dieser Beziehungen spielerisch zum Ausdruck bringt. In dem Gespräch werden wir über ihre Zusammenarbeit mit Sissel Tolaas sowie über ihre Arbeit mit Geruch (u. a. die fortlaufende Performance im Martin Gropiusbau „Expanded Viewing I + II (Garten der irdischen Freuden)“) sprechen, darüber wie sie ihre eigenen Nase benutzt oder Anderen beibringt ihre eigenen Nase zu gebrauchen und ebenso über die Gerüche in der aktuellen Ausstellung „22“ von Sissel Tolaas.

Isabel Lewis, artist, and a choreographer is known for her explorations of the body, intimacy, and the senses. Not least is she known for her playful voicing of the almost unnameable aspects of these relations. In the conversation, we will speak about her and Sissel Tolaas collaborations as well as her work with smell (ongoing performance at Martin Gropiusbau „Expanded Viewing I + II (Garden of Earthly Delights)“), on how she uses her own nose or train others to use theirs, as well her take on the smells in the current show „22“.
