Was bringt Menschen in Bewegung? Was bringt sie einander näher? Und wie dokumentieren wir die politische Arbeit jener, auf deren Schultern wir stehen?
Der Community Space »Emergent Archives« ist ein wachsendes Archiv für (post-)migrantisches und antirassistisches Engagement. Gesammelt werden Geschichten von Menschen, die sich organisiert haben – in Bündnissen, Initiativen, community übergreifend. Ihre Erfahrungen erzählen von Verantwortung, Widersprüchen, Verbundenheit und dem Ringen um eine gerechte Stadt.
Fünf Monate lang produziert der Community Space »Geschichte von unten«. Das Archiv entsteht entlang von einem Filmscreening, Erzählabenden und künstlerischen Workshops. Die beitragenden Gäste bringen ihre eigenen zeithistorischen Dokumente oder Objekte mit und füllen so nach und nach den Archivraum. Zusätzlich können alle zum Archiv beitragen, in dem sie an den künstlerischen Workshops teilnehmen oder eigene Spuren im Archiv hinterlassen.
»Emergent Archives« versteht sich sowohl als Prozess als auch Plattform für weitere Vernetzung. Die unterschiedlichen Formate sollen Anlässe für Verbindung, gemeinsames Zuhören und kollektives Empowerment bieten.

What sets people in motion? What brings them closer together? And how do we document the political work of those on whose shoulders we stand?
The community space »Emergent Archives« is a growing archive of (post-)migrant and anti-racist engagement. It collects stories of people who have organized—through alliances, initiatives, and across communities. Their experiences speak of responsibility, contradictions, solidarity, and the struggle for a just city.
Over five months, the community space will produce »history from below.« The archive will evolve through film screenings, storytelling evenings, and artistic workshops. Contributing guests will bring their own historical documents or objects, gradually filling the archive space. Everyone is also invited to contribute by participating in the workshops or leaving behind their own traces in the archive.
»Emergent Archives« sees itself both as a process and as a platform for further networking. Its various formats aim to create opportunities for connection, collective listening, and empowerment.
