Die Galerie Wedding schließt für den Winter 2022/23

Nach einem erfolgreichen Jahr, in dem die Galerie Wedding viele in Berlin lebende Künstler*innen und Besucher*innen mit unterschiedlichen kulturellen Hintergründen zusammengebracht und das Nachbarschafts-Festival ACROSS gegründet hat, muss sie wegen der Wahlvorbereitungen ihre Ausstellungsräume in der Müllerstraße 146-147 für den Winter verlassen.

Von Ende November 2022 bis März 2023 verwandelt man die Galerie Wedding wieder in einen Warte-, Empfangs- und Beratungsraum für das Sozialamt des Bezirksamtes Mitte. Ab 1. April 2023 kann die Galerie Wedding wieder Ausstellungen zeigen und beginnt mit der für ursprünglich Dezember 2022 geplante Ausstellung der Künstlerin und Performerin Ania Nowak.

In den Wintermonaten sind die Besucher*innen der Galerie herzlich eingeladen, die folgenden Kunstwerke von Anton Kats und Ania Nowak durch die Fenster der Galerie zu betrachten: Anton Kats »Vostok 6 landing on Altair«, »Laika«, »Baikonur cosmo drome«, »Valentina Tereshkova preparing for the flight«, »Public Transport Library proposal in the U6 subway« und »Untitled 3 (Don’t Give Advice!)« von Ania Nowak

Galerie Wedding is closing for the winter of 2022/23

After a successful year in which Galerie Wedding brought together many Berlin-based artists and visitors from different cultural backgrounds and founded the neighbourhood festival ACROSS, it has to leave its exhibition space at Müllerstraße 146-147 for the winter due to election preparations. 

From the end of November 2022 until March 2023, Galerie Wedding will once again be transformed into a waiting, reception and consultation room for the social welfare office of the Mitte district office. From April 1, 2023 Galerie Wedding will be able to show exhibitions again, starting with the exhibition of artist and performer Ania Nowak originally planned for December 2022.

During the winter months, visitors to the gallery are invited to see the following artworks by Anton Kats and Ania Nowak through the gallery windows: Anton Kats »Vostok 6 landing on Altair«, »Laika«, »Baikonur cosmo drome«, »Valentina Tereshkova preparing for the flight«, »Public Transport Library proposal in the U6 subway« and »Untitled 3 (Don’t Give Advice!)« by Ania Nowak.
